Post Natal Care in East Devon

Postpartum is a time of huge change—physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.

Even if the birth went as planned, many mothers find themselves feeling overwhelmed, raw, or just not quite themselves.

It’s common to feel disconnected from your body, unsure of who you are now, or to be carrying thoughts and emotions you didn’t expect to feel.

Not all wounds bleed.

Some live in the body long after the birth is over.

Whether you experienced a traumatic labour, an emergency intervention, loss, or emotional detachment, this space is designed for your healing.

Here, we honour your story, your body, and the nervous system that still remembers what happened.

Women are at their most vulnerable just after birth.

Healing beyond birth

Sometimes, becoming a mother brings old experiences to the surface—things from your own childhood, unresolved trauma, or deep questions about how you want to raise your child differently.

This isn’t something that’s fixed with advice or checklists. What’s needed is space—safe, grounded, compassionate space—to be heard, to be held, and to slowly find your feet again.

This is what I offer.

You don’t need to have had a traumatic birth to need support. You just need to be human—and to know that what you’re feeling is valid, real, and deserving of care.

There are 2 pathways of Post Partum Care available with This Wild Mama.

Everything that could go wrong during birth- did. I absolutely struggled from that point on. I was ashamed to admit it, but I hated every single minute. I don't think I would still be here if I hadn't reached out to Bex. I still don't really know why I did, but I am forever grateful for you.
Every women needs a Bex in their life!

Kind words

I brought my baby to see Bex for some baby balancing when she was 8 weeks old, and has seen Bex several times over the first year. Up until that first session, my baby had suffered with constipation- despite being breastfed. I really wanted to avoid presciptions so as a last attempt I thought I would try Bex.  I don't know what Bex did, but after several minor bum explosions in the hours to follow the session, she's never had constipation since!

I just always feel so safe when I am with Bex, and her bodywork resources me in ways I have never felt before. I have moved through this post partum window feeling the best I've felt in a long time, despite the lack of sleep! This kind of care should be gifted to new mums all the time!

I found the debriefing session with Bex, absolutely life changing.
I went from being flooded with emotions about my birth all the time, to finally feeling peaceful and like I can be present with my new baby- and enjoy it!
